This weeks Prayer

The promise of new growth

My prayer for this week.
Also taken from my new prayer book

Lord God, please keep us balanced between the times you call us apart to be alone with You and the times when we dwell in the midst of others who claim You as lord, that we might in every circumstance know ourselves in the beloved community of Your Trinity. Amen

Read along with this was Ex 2:23-3:15 where Moses has an encounter with the burning bush and
Mark 6:30-46 where Jesus calls his disciples come come away from the crowds out in a boat with Him

Birthday flowers

What a lucky girl I am. Brian took off a few hours early and surprised me with these flowers on my birthday Tuesday. We had dinner and a movie out on the town! Big excitement!
Brian also found a roomba on creigs list for a great deal for my birthday. I would not normally support vacuums for birthdays but I hate to vacuum, and have wanted a roomba for our whole 6 years of marriage, (yes 6 years next month if you can believe it). So it was very very exciting to get one with my new bigger house. And I am thrilled to say it has not disappointed, and in combination with the cat has been very entertaining.

My shoes won't protect you!
Soo great, I had ladies bible study in my living room, and while we met I let roomba rip in my bedroom, and by the time we were done and the ladies left, presto, immaculate bedroom floor! Just like magic!

Brian was also very sweet and took some pictures of my spring flowers! Things are a blooming!

Climbing rose

And my very sweet parents sent me a few things one is a wonderful new prayer book. And I loved this from this morning reading. Hope you like it also!

May the peace of the Lord go with you: wherever He may send you;
may He guide you through the wilderness: protect you through the storm;
may He bring you home rejoicing: at the wonders He has shown you;
may He bring you home rejoicing: once again into our doors.

New baby pictures

I had another ultrasound, and everything looks great, we were able to get some slightly better pictures this time and confirmation it really really is a girl. And this time I wasn't wishing I could throw up the whole time so all in all a much better experience and I am glad the baby did not cooperate fully the first time! Thus needing another go. :-)

 Babys spine, looks much more clear than a month ago, head is on the right
Feet: with all the kicking I did not need confirmation she had these

Nose, mouth with her hand bu her chin

This one is much harder to see, but on the left middle the long line is a arm, and just below is the face, you can see a cheek, nose and eyes

This is like the one above but more clear, she has both arms along side her head and the eyes are clear

Closer of the above

and closer of the profile.
Sorry if you didn't need to see all these, and are now bored, this post is mostly for the Grandma's, and nurses in my life.

Evening Prayers

My Prayer corner

Taken from this evenings prayer in "The Divine Hours"

Lord Jesus, stay with me, for the evening is at hand and the day is past; be my companion in the way, kindle my heart, and awaken hope, that I may know you as you are revealed is Scripture and the breaking of  bread. Grant this for the sake of your love. Amen

Watching the storm

Still and quiet with bird song all around as I sit and be still, to know, You are.
Then suddenly they quiet, the trees grown and sway, and I watch as the wind rolls in mightily. The air around grows darker as the clouds roll in on the wind. It seems thunderous with the sounds of wind and trees, and slowly, ever so slowly the bird song starts again, and the trees grow still while the light returns.
For a moment Spring has returned before the process repeats itself. Then suddenly I hear drip, drip, plonk, and splat, and the heavens open and instantly the earth is drenched. I tuck my feet up under the edge of my umbrellas small shelter as I sit and watch in awe.
